Join Us for Ash Wednesday Services
On March 5, 2025, we invite you to join us as we mark the beginning of Lent with a day of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Ash Wednesday calls us to pause and acknowledge our dependence on God, embracing this season as a time of prayer, fasting, and spiritual growth.
To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate, Third Baptist Church of San Francisco will be offering multiple ways to receive ashes and engage in worship:
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Pop-up at Fillmore Center
• 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Drive-up or walk-in at Pierce & McAllister
• 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: In-person service at Third Baptist Church
• 6:30 PM: Online service (click Join Zoom below or scan the QR code to join)
Ashes, placed on our foreheads, serve as a reminder of our mortality and our call to repentance: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19). Yet, even as we acknowledge our human frailty, we hold fast to the hope of resurrection and renewal in Christ.
Join us in this sacred season as we prepare our hearts for the journey toward Easter. May this Lent be a time of deep reflection, renewed faith, and transformative grace.

As we journey through the season of Lent, Third Baptist Church invites you to join us for our Daily Lenten Prayer Calls—a sacred time of reflection, devotion, and renewal. This is an opportunity to start each day with prayer, grounding ourselves in faith and preparing our hearts for the path to Easter.
When: Every morning during Lent, beginning March 5th
